Denim on Denim

In my closet, I feel that it is important to have staple pieces of clothing that can be worn differently. To me, denim is a staple essential to have in your closet. It can elevate a casual look, or simplify a dressed up one.
This jean jacket is my new favorite out of the couple other jean jackets in my closet (also my recent purchase from ZARA, on sale too). The distressed style gives the jacket a bit of an edgy vibe. The length is perfect, and matches well with a nice pair of heels. I paired this blue jean denim jacket with a chic striped spaghetti strapped dress, mocha colored sock boots that I purchased from ALDO, a light blue denim cap and choker. Different shades of denim worn together intrigues me, I love how unique it can look. You should try it! Fall is right around the corner and these sock boots are definitely an essential for the cold season to come.
I came up with this outfit in about five minutes without looking in my closet. When I bought this jacket, I was just picking out random pieces to buy and telling myself, "I'll find something to pair with this." You can just throw on a denim jacket with about almost any outfit, but for this look I wanted the jacket to be the main attraction.
When you shop, don't always feel compelled to buy an entire outfit that matches. Buying clothing in increments can allow you to embrace your closet more often than you think. Remember, keep those #ideasloading.
